Having remained a day ahead of schedule and having done some tough climbing it was decided we would have a few easy days. We remained at Prion Beach till after lunch and did a spot of fishing in swimming – but the ocean water are really cold . After lunch we headed off , the route taking us over the dunes and down to the mouth of the lagoon. The track on the other end of the beach starts with some stairs , the bottom of which has been washed away. People scrambling up the sand here is causing ongoing erosion – so the stairs really do need repairing. We turned of the track to our camp at Osmiridium Beach. The rock formations on the beach are strange in that they are clearly volcanic and look out of place. Being off the track the campsite was quieter here with just one father / son team joining us.
