Another day with glorious weather as we started our walk from Mona Vale to Barrenjoey head – but we knew the low was coming. The walk at times was through suburban streets where the coastal track disappeared . Some of the stair climbs up from the beaches were very steep . Finally we reached Palm Beach which terminates in a narrow sandy spit separating the Pacific Ocean from Pittwater. A climb on a steepish track at the end of the beach leads up to the Barrenjoey lighthouse. Finally we scrambled down and walked along the Pittwater side back to the bus stop at Palm Beach and managed to get a bus back to Manly just as the rain started falling. 21 km in about 5 hours .
