Bikes to eiffel tower from inn . That’s not quite the truth. Actually took half hour to finally work out the machine at the bike station . Got lost somewhere between Louis blanc and republique. Saw nice pair of runners for 69 euro bloke said he wasn’t open till 10 !
Finally found sort the right route after dropping bikes at one station and picking some up from another after finding a map ! Got to eiffel tower queues were enormous but found the one for the stairs which We got through very quickly. Climbed to 2nd level but clearly the elevator to the top was not going to open for a long time .
Some more biking from pont de L’alma round the roundabout at the obelisque and up towards gare de L’est . Must say the traffic is interesting and the bike lanes always seem to run out .
A further long walk up to sacre couer . It’s an interesting climb up the spiraling stair cases to the dome the view of Paris being better than what We had from the eiffel tower . From there is was a short walk to the moulin rouge . Somewhere between there and the inn We had a late lunch in a little cafe . And a long walk afterwards , thanks to our navigation skills , back to the inn .
